| I cut my hair! This is for all of you who didn't come to the Building on Friday. The bottom picture is the hair that i saved to donate to an American organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer for free. Check them out here: www.locksoflove.org

| Today was the first day I had a cup of coffee since I've had morning sickness. So nearly two months! I have to say it was pretty tasty! I haven't done much today other than look at some pictures that Beth sent to me of this summer, which led me to look at other pictures of friends back home and friends here in Trnava. I am so blessed by my friends. Both here and in the states. Especially with my friends back home, even though I don't keep up with them as much as I want to, we are always able to pick up from where we left off. I know this is only due to the lasting, rich friendship that God gives his children with each other. All of my non-Christian friends that used to be my "close friends" have all fallen by the wayside. Our friendships had nothing lasting to build on. Friends enrich my life so much and I am so very, very thankful for them!

| Let's see if this color shows up any better against the background.
I've decided morning sickness is a very weird thing. I feel so much better than I have over the last three or four weeks, but I still am sick most mornings. I guess the hormones aren't acting up so much, which is fine with me!
The baby is going to really start growing quickly! this last week was my ninth week, which meant that toes and elbows are forming and its bones are beginning to harden.
This next week, the baby will probably have a growth spurt and will almost double it's length! By this time next week, the baby's eyelids will fuse shut, which is how they'll stay until for quite a few months. Its external ears and upper lip will be completely formed by the end of the week.
I'm just utterly amazed at how God brings this tiny human being into existence! I was thinking about this at church on Sunday, when Jeff was talking about how Mary and Elizabeth enjoyed each others' company because they both understood how their pregnancies were miracles from God. Then I looked over at Jana and thought about Mata's pregnancy and the fact that I'm pregnant and it struck me again how every conception is a miracle and a gift from God. Babies don't start to be formed because of science, they happen because God brings them into existence, and then they form in the scientific way he has designed. And he has shown he can do it bypassing science altogether!
I just wish I could live everyday in the fear and astonishment and joy that Mary must have felt toward God. And not just that Mary felt, but Zephaniah, and Elizabeth and countless others in the Bible.
On a different note, I don't really feel like a parent yet, but I guess I should just enjoy the quiet my child is giving me, since I can sleep whenever I like and for however long!

| I'm pretty sure everyone had heard, but in case you haven't, we're going to have a baby! And since I haven't really been around lately (thanks, baby), and I don't know if you've all been asking Bo these questions, I'll just throw these out there for you. Discuss.
Will you have the baby here? Yes, we will have the baby in Europe, but we're not sure yet if that means in Slovakia or Austria.
Will you find out if it's a boy or a girl? No. We want to be surprised!
Will you tell us the names you like? No (and we're not going to change our minds!). We have picked names, but we want to keep those a surprise for all of you until he or she makes an appearance!
We are so thankful for all of you and how excited you are for us! Please feel free to ask us any questions you have- we want to share this stage in our lives with you!
